pulse damper is a pressure-containing container with an elastic diaphragm inside, which divides the container into two upper and lower chambers. The lower chamber passes through the transported liquid, and the upper chamber is filled with inert gas according to the use pressure, which is generally 60%-80% of the use pressure. At the same time, a pressure gauge is installed in the upper cavity of the pulse damper. Since the pressure gauge and the conveying liquid are separated by the diaphragm, the ordinary pressure gauge can be used instead of the diaphragm pressure gauge after the pulse damper is used, which reduces the equipment cost. The diaphragm pulse damper is installed at the outlet of the metering pump of the dosing device. After the pulsating fluid of the metering pump enters the damper, due to the compressibility of the gas and the instantaneous absorption of the pulse, the system can obtain a stable liquid flow and pressure, slow down the pipeline vibration, reduce noise, and improve the pipeline safety.
Installation position of fuel pulsation damper. Most of the components of the EFI system are installed on the fuel rail, some are installed on the fuel inlet pipe at the end of the fuel rail, some are installed on the fuel injection base of the fuel rail, or part of the fuel rail pipeline is also installed on the fuel pipe. The purpose is to reduce the boost or depressurization at the moment of burnout, reduce the pulse of boost or depressurization, and reduce the fluctuation of fuel supply.
The main features of the fuel pulse damper:
1. The shell material of the pulse damper is UPVC or stainless steel, and the diaphragm material is butyl rubber or fluorine rubber.
2. For stainless steel inflation valves, the inflation pressure is generally 60%-80% of the system working pressure.
3. The pulse damper is equipped with a pressure gauge, which can display the system pressure.
4. The pulse damper can achieve a damping buffer of 3-6% (94-97% of the pulse can be smoothed).
5. The working temperature is limited to 0-60.
6. The inflation tool is optional, including inflation tube, pressure gauge, inflation regulator and connection interface with nitrogen bottle.
Installation requirements of fuel pulse damper:
1. The diaphragm pulse damper should be installed as vertically as possible near the pump outlet. If the pipe between the pump outlet and the pulse damper is too long, the pipe may vibrate.
2. If you know the system parameters such as system pressure and motor speed, the diaphragm pulse damper can make the system vibration less than 200mbar.
3. Using a pulse damper without a diaphragm will not protect the system because the gas in it will be quickly absorbed by the liquid.
4. Using a pulse damper may increase system resistance.
