This high-quality plastic buffer has an outer diameter of 20mm, and this series of products comes in various total lengths. It is divided into unidirectional damping (with resistance in both counterclockwise and clockwise directions). Damper characteristics

A. Temperature characteristics

The torque generated by the damper will change under the influence of environmental temperature. This is because changes in temperature affect the viscosity of the damping oil, causing torque output to decrease as temperature increases; conversely, it increases as temperature decreases. When the temperature returns to normal, the torque also returns to its original value.



 

 

B. Speed characteristics:

The torque of the damper will also change when using different rotational speeds. Generally, as rotational speed increases, torque also increases; as rotational speed decreases, torque decreases as well. Additionally, starting torque differs from standard torque.

 

 

Usage method for pressure-type dampers:
A. This series of rotary buffers starts falling from a vertical position (as shown in Figure A) to a horizontal position; due to design, the torque at the starting position is weakest, gradually increasing as the angle rotates so that the cover can close slowly at last. As shown in Figure B when the cover starts falling from a horizontal position, since gravity-induced torque on it is zero vertically while maximum at its final position, it cannot fully close.

 

 

B. In examples illustrated when using rotary buffers, please calculate required torque using following method.

Example:
Weight M of cover:1kg
Length L from rotary shaft to edge of cover plate:0.5m
Load Torque:T=1×0.5×9.8÷2=2.45N•m
From above calculation we select buffer LF-18E-25kgf.cm (25kgf.cm≈2.45Nm).

C. Please minimize gaps between rotary shafts and connecting components; if gaps exist during rotation drop speed will be affected.
 
4.The buffer's torque will also change according to variations in environmental temperature.The pattern shows that when environmental temperature rises,the torque drops while action time speeds up;when environmental temperature drops,the torque rises while action time slows down.This occurs because viscosity changes with environmental temperature variations.Nevertheless ,when environmental temperatures return to normal ,the torques will revert back to their original values.
 
5.The rotation angle for LF-36 series rotary buffers is110 degrees; exceeding this angle may damage buffers so please install external stop mechanisms.Action angles are based on closed positions.
