*Note: (1) The marked torque is measured under standard load conditions at a temperature of 23°C and humidity of 80%, with a slow drop of 15° per second.
(2) Torque customization can be provided by changing the viscosity of the damper grease.
(3) The maximum operating temperature range for the damper is -40°C to +90°C.
(4) The reverse torque for this type of damper is generally about 20% of the forward torque.

*Note: This damper's rotating shaft material includes both PA and zinc alloy. It is generally recommended to use zinc alloy for shafts with a torque exceeding 20kgf.cm.
[Damper characteristics]
(A) Temperature characteristics:
The torque generated by the damper will change under the influence of environmental temperature. This is because changes in temperature affect the viscosity of the damping oil, causing torque output to decrease as temperature increases, and increase as temperature decreases. When the temperature returns to normal, the torque also returns to its original value.

(B) Speed characteristics:
The torque of the damper will also change when using different rotational speeds. Generally, as rotational speed increases, torque also increases; as rotational speed decreases, torque decreases. Additionally, starting torque differs from standard torque.

Usage method for pressure dampers:
(A) This series of rotary buffers starts falling from a vertical position (as shown in Figure A) to a horizontal position. Due to design, the torque at the starting position is weakest; as the angle of rotation increases, torque gradually strengthens, allowing for slow closure at last. As shown in Figure B, when the lid starts falling from a horizontal position, due to gravity-induced torque being zero in vertical direction while maximum at final position, it cannot fully close.

(B) In examples illustrated when using rotary buffers, please calculate required torque using following method.

Example:
Weight of lid M:1kg
Distance L from rotating shaft to edge of lid:0.5m
Load Torque: T=1×0.5×9.8÷2=2.45N•m
From above calculation we select buffer LF-18E-25kgf.cm (25kgf.cm≈2.45Nm).
(C) Please minimize gaps between rotating shaft and connecting components; if gaps exist, speed during descent will be affected.
4. The buffer's torque will also change according to variations in environmental temperature. The pattern shows that when environmental temperature rises, torque decreases and action time speeds up; when environmental temperature drops, torque increases and action time slows down due to changes in viscosity oil's viscosity with environmental temperature changes. However, when environmental temperatures return to normal levels, so does the torque.
5.The rotation angle for LF-18E series rotary buffers is limited to110 degrees; exceeding this may damage buffer; please install external stop mechanism accordingly with action angle based on closed position.
