Product Description

This blade-type damper has an outer diameter of 20mm. This series of products is divided into unidirectional damping (with resistance in both counterclockwise and clockwise directions). Unidirectional rotary dampers are widely used on smart toilet seat covers, pulsator washing machine lids, folding shoe stools, etc. Installing dampers helps prolong product lifespan and enhance user experience.

*Note: (1) The marked torque is measured under standard load conditions at a temperature of 23°C and humidity of 80%, with a slow drop of 15° per second.
(2) Torque customization can be provided by changing the viscosity of the damper grease.
(3) The maximum operating temperature range for the damper is -40°C to +90°C.
(4) The reverse torque for this type of damper is generally about 20% of the forward torque.

Damper product materials

*Shell material: *Rotary shaft material: *Seal ring: *Damping oil:
  - PA/PBT   - PA/Zinc alloy - Silicone rubber - Silicone oil

*Note: This damper's rotary shaft material comes in two types: PA and zinc alloy. It is generally recommended to use zinc alloy material for shafts with torque exceeding over than or equal to to30kgf.cm.

Damper characteristics
A. Temperature characteristics:
The torque generated by the damper will change when affected by environmental temperature. This is because changes in temperature affect the viscosity of the damping oil, causing torque output to decrease as temperature increases; conversely, it increases as temperature decreases. When the temperature returns to normal, the torque also returns to its original value.

B. Speed characteristics:
The torque of the damper will also change when using different rotational speeds. Generally, as rotational speed increases, torque also increases; as rotational speed decreases, torque decreases as well. Additionally, starting torque differs from standard torque.

Usage method for pressure-type dampers:
A. This series of rotary buffers starts falling from a vertical position (as shown in Diagram A) to a horizontal position; due to designed torque being weakest at the starting position, as the angle of the buffer rotates, the torque gradually strengthens, allowing the lid's action to close slowly at last. As shown in Diagram B when the lid starts falling from a horizontal position, due to gravity producing zero torque in vertical direction at that moment while maximum force exists at final position so that lid cannot fully close.

B. In examples illustrated above when using rotary buffers please calculate required torques according to following calculation method.

Example:
Weight M of lid:1kg
Length L from rotary shaft edge to lid edge:0.5m
Load Torque:T=1×0.5×9.8÷2=2.45N•m
From above calculation we select buffer LF-18E-25kgf.cm(25kgf.cm≈2.45Nm).

C. Please minimize gaps between rotary shaft and connecting components; if gaps exist during rotation drop speed will be affected.
4.The buffer's torque will also change according to variations in environmental temperatures; its pattern shows that when environmental temperatures rise torques decrease while action time speeds up; conversely when environmental temperatures drop torques increase while action time slows down due to changes in viscosity oil’s viscosity during environmental temperature variations but once environment returns back normal temperatures torques will revert back original values.
5.The LF-36 series rotary buffer has a rotation angle of110 degrees; exceeding110 degrees may damage buffer so please install external stop mechanism accordingly with closing position serving as reference for action angle.
